But on a serious note, now that we’re no longer affiliated with Jalopnik, can we look into this a little deeper (what say you mods)? Who cares if we have 100s of authors? You get a press pass! And you get a press pass! And you get a press pass!

If you listen to more of this, you’ll hear they only got 5000 viewers during the live reveal on Periscope. For such an expensive live broadcast, that’s a huge fail...

The dealer from which I bought the E90 contacted me a few weeks ago, trying to sell me on an M4 (which they would have had no problem doing if I had that kind of coin). I told him that I was not interested, but I was interested in the M2. He said he would call back when he had more info in the spring.

Normally I would opt for the “M” color, but that blue that they are offering is a little too turquoisey for me. So probably black (unless they decided to offer another loud color that is not orange). From there I would go with minimal luxury options, all of the performance options, and three pedals.

In reality it will probably not be until late 2017 or after as I just bought and like the Audi. That is unless I get that new job that I have been searching for:)

I mean, you don’t need a publication if you’ve had a few things on the FP. You can just say you’ve gotten submissions on the FP and say you’re freelance, which wouldn’t be untrue. I got a free flight to LA like that a few years ago.

People have gotten press credentials in Oppo’s name before. A couple of links to one’s work, especially if shared to Jalopnik, seems to be enough sometimes. I wouldn’t suggest everyone go out and do so but there are those who definitely qualify.

That would make sense, but personally I (without discussion between the rest of the Mods) would prefer requests like that are done as freelance photogs on behalf of Oppo, if that makes sense.

I think the trouble then was that people claimed association to Jalopnik because of the URL, which is obviously a no-no, then as it is now. As long as someone is not disingenuous with such claims, trying to get press creds under Oppo’s name should not be a problem.
